What is Design Challenge?
Design Challenge is a links database consisting of the best websites
on the internet. Visitors to the site vote on the links and the site
with the best ratings at the end 2003 will be awarded the Design Challenge
site of the Year.
[Top]
How does it work?
Visitors rate the links in the "New Entries" list. If a link
obtains a high score ratio it will then progress to the "Qualified
Links" section where it will remain for the rest of the year and
continue to receive votes. At the end of 2003, the site with the highest
score will be named as the Design Challenge Site of the Year 2003!
Note: If a link receives a low score ratio then it is removed
from the database. Similarly, if you cheat by voting multiple times
then this lowers the aggregate score to that site. Duplicate IP's reduce
the score.

How do I rate a link?
Ratings are currently open to anyone. Note: you can only rate a link
once but your IP and other details are logged to prevent vote stuffing.

Can I vote for a qualified
link?
Yes - provided you haven't voted for it previously.
[Top]
Are the ratings weighted?
No. The ratings reflect the public vote. However, IP's etc are logged
and if it is found that someone has been "stuffing" votes
then they will be removed. One person - one vote.

How do I submit a link?
Click on the "submit a site" link at the top of this page.
Follow the instructions.

How do you approve
links?
All links are reviewed before being approved as a new entry. The entrance
criteria is straightforward - a site must have good layout/design, originality,
no broken links, no unfinished works and no rip offs. Once your site
has been submitted please check back in a few days to see if it apears
in the list. If it does not appear you won't be notified - better luck
next time.

Why hasn't my site
been listed?
It wasn't good enough or had offensive material.

My site was listed.
Why was it removed?
The public votes for your site weren't high enough therefore it was
removed. Better luck next time. Or someone was stuffing votes - ie cheating.
Cheating lowers the aggregate score.

Is this a profit making
site?
No.
